Who knows… like jcardona1 said, these fish can be very unpredictable… just keep a good eye on the fish.

What are the other tank mates?

Don
He has a peacock eel for a tankmate, but thats all.

The temp is 76 degress F the eel is like at least 7-8 inches

Just lost mine a month ago :( Mine was fairly docile, it's main agitator recently was a 4" Grammodes. I've also had an Istlanum take a dislike to the leporinus. Went back and forth with a Convict a few times, no major injuries.

Mine was fairly hardy, had it's caudal an anal fins completely shredded by my Istlanum. 55g sprung a leak and they both had to share a 25g Rubbermaid. My Leporinus made a complete recovery. This was about a year and a half ago. It died to jumping.:(

That sucks. Mine has yet to jump, but he is swimming around now so he is better.

I have a 3'' er myself. They are nice fish but watch out they can nip fish fins!

Other than ramming mine as pretty much behaved.

I had a Banded Leoporinus, but ended up getting rid of it. The fish was just too mean for my other fish. It was always chasing the other fish and nipping at the fins. Banded Leoporinus are pretty territorial.
