Fiddlers are spendy too... hehe...
Anyone diving in California? No one came through for me on the Cal. Round Rays, last I heard it was due to murky water. I'm nearly thinking of getting the Yellow Ray but then the water would have to be heated up a bit

I can look for you tomorrow night - I have a collection permit (thank you DFG!), but they aren't the easiest fish to catch - I'm actually diving for octopus, but I'll keep my eye out.

Cownose aren't common off of CA - I'm diving for fun, and for octopus (bimaculoides). I'll be diving in an area where I can find a swell shark in March.

Oh, were do the Cownose come from? Are you eating the Octo's or for the hobby? They are great tasteing I think. If you did catch a Ray do you have a place for it and I dont mean to be rude, have you shiped before?

lol - no luck - swell is brutal right now. We all got the crap kicked out of us diving. You're going to have to way awhile to catch anything off of NorCal.

What are commonly know as a cownose rays are fairly common here off the east coast. You frequently see them while you're out fishing, swimming just below the surface. The tips of their wings will break the surface as they swim along. Are you looking to keep one? The species that I am speaking of is quite sizable.
