Soooooo...with all the hype of the Azuls, I tried to ignore it but finally gave in, jumped on the bandwagon and purchased four from Rich. This will be the first time I ordered thru mail and is skeptical about my next move when they get here (hopefully Friday). I have searched the threads and read about settling fishes in but I want to hear it from the Peacock Bass keepers' mouth as this is the most I have paid for fishes. Help me out guys, I don't want to lose any. Do I just float them for 15-20 like always and let them go free? Thanks in advance.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M GETTING SOME ZULLIES BEFORE ORINOS.....YAYAHHHHHHH!!!

I've always been a strong advocate of the drip method when acclimating new fish, but when dealing with fish that have been in transit for a while, you'll have to use your better judgment. If the fish appear stressed, its best to do a quick acclimation and get them in your tank as soon as possible. Otherwise, put the fish in a small bucket, set up the drip line, and cover the bucket you reduce stress.

dripp... drippp... drippppp.........:headbang2

yeh iw ouldnt just float and let them swim out.. drip acclimate is the way with a few airstones in the bucket..

Thanks fellas...this will be my first attempt at drippin so help me god.

One more question...so I drip the fishes in the bucket and then afterward I just pour that water back into the tank?

Ask Rich what his parameters are ;) Save yourself from stressing fish period.. Just my opinion...

my methods may differ from others but i drip and pour half a cup of aged water into the bucket ever 5 mins and drain half of the water when its nearly full..and after 30 mins to an hour has passed id do a 20% water change and pour in aged water that ive been pouring into the bucket..but by no means pour the water back into the tank
