My aro is always banging the glass..like he wants to get out of the tank..i dont know what he want and wat to do..help guys :help2:
:nilly: :nilly:

What do you mean by banging? Dashing across the tank and bang real hard on the glass?

my silver does something similar. hell swim along the front of the glass, and then when he reaches the end it seems as though he wants to keep going and opens his mouth and goes back and forth. then he'll turn around and do it at the other end of the tank. weird :screwy:

but mine doesnt actually BANG the glass

Attention seeker eh?:D I know what you mean, it just like it want to charge at you but it cant.:D

I think it has alot to due with lack of space honestly----
My old aro(30+ inch in a 125) use to do this...

My new aro would also do this when it was placed into a 125 gal (roughly 2 foot)..Took it out and placed it into my 500 gal...Have not noticed it again....

Other than that-I have no clue why a aro would do this...

yeah im not sure, but i know its not due to space. mine is only 10" in a 7x2x2!!!! it seems as though he gets confused that the tank has ended and he needs to turn around and swim the other way.

its weird, sometimes hell simply turn around and other times he'll stay in the corner opening and closing his mouth :screwy:

Well, the weirdest part is that this kinda behaviour happen to fish in bigger tanks too here. I notice this happen when the fish are mostly been kept alone in their own tank or maybe with one or two tankmates.

It was my only observation...

I didn't have the luxury of haveing a larger tank for my guy.....(since learned my lesson, stupid LFS's)..So I was not able to do a comparisson like that....

Glad you guys have found out differently....Just good to get all info out their....
