banging the glass

whats the size of your silver ??
well, my silver has 8" in a 40 gallon tank, till now have no problem with him. tankmates are 1 bp, 2 plecos (blacks with white dots).
and the RTC is't a good idea, they grow a lot and maybe can even eat your aro.
I've seen a gulper 7" to 8" eating an aro of 13" (just take a look at the bottom dwellers)

i think the size of my aro is 10"..the RTC that i will be buying is about 4-5"
so it's a bad idea of having an RTC with my aro as an tankmate?

oh..sir koji..why is the RTC is not a good classmate..i thought it's friendly neighborhood..i see alot of LFS here..there tank is a combination of aro's and RTC..sometimes aro & pacu & snakehead..:nilly:

Trust me for I have com my aros with these you have mentioned. I got no good exprience with them after some time. The pacu is the worst for it will chew on air tubes and also pump wiring in the water which can give you a good shock.:irked:

my aro bangs the glass all the time
i mean bang

sometimes just freaking

and when i say bang im talking over 2 feet aro hitting it so hard it makes you jump from other side of the house
;)
aros are jumpers in the wild, get used to it lol

my silver does something similar. hell swim along the front of the glass, and then when he reaches the end it seems as though he wants to keep going and opens his mouth and goes back and forth. then he'll turn around and do it at the other end of the tank. weird :screwy:
just sounds like the aro dance
most of them do it
heres a thread for you,and frozenfire if his is doing an aro dance and not actually banging the glass

I think it has alot to due with lack of space honestly----
My old aro(30+ inch in a 125) use to do this...

My new aro would also do this when it was placed into a 125 gal (roughly 2 foot)..Took it out and placed it into my 500 gal...Have not noticed it again....

Other than that-I have no clue why a aro would do this...
30" in a 125? any pix? lol

I have 4 aros, and only one of them does the glass banging aro dance. I think it's something that some aros just do.
