Damn that was a quick response. Salamat

My understanding is gill curl at that size doesn't really affect the health of fish, is that correct?

If the fish has gill curl, that means it was kept in a tank with bad water quality, so why buy a potentiallly sick fish that was not well cared for?

BTW, gill curl makes it pretty undesirable and aesthetically unpleasant...I wouldn't want it in my tank.

Why buy someone else's junk...move on to something better.

Is that taking into consideration gill curl? My friend and I are not super familar with Asian aro pricing. Can you give a range of price?

Just like a nice green aro at same size, in good condition $300-$400, may be $500, but with gill curl, $200-$250, may be $300. Bottom line, seller could ask whatever price he thinks right, and there may be a buyer willing to pay for it. Someone's junk could be other's treasure. Hard to say :D

That's not always the case. Doing massive water change with tap water, with little or no dechlorine could give the same problem

I wouldnt buy any asian with gillcurl. I did have a banjar it was perfect no dropeye...I miss em..

I agree this is necessarily true. My RTG got gill curl and i keep the water clean. I suspect the new water was too cool because it happened just after a water change.

How bad is the gill curl? If it's just the soft membrane you can cut it off and it will grow back as normal. If it's going to increase the price by 50% it's worth thinking about.
