the prices we are getting are 225euros for the greens and 600euros for the banjar, a golden red about 2000 euros and last a super red 6000euros .
i tried to get some info from http://www.arowanas.co.uk/2.html but never get any reply
Hi Zix, I keeping spammed on that email address and may have mistaken your mail as a spam. Anyway The retail price for greens in Europe is £100, banjars £225, RTGs £350 reds and XBs £1200 onwards. Importing them will be cheaper than this but when you add on freight tax etc and something for your troubles, you don't get a lot of change from the above. Be careful of importing from Indonesia, although most dealers are OK some are unscrupulous and may try to fleece you with high prices, poor quality fish, banjar instead of red etc. you can email me if you need more info

be careful of hormoned reds as well....

I have also, repeatedly, been trying to contact Arowana UK, however without sucess. I believe we would all be very interested in seeing what it would take to bring tip top condition asian aro's to Portugal.

Last ones I managed to get came from Thailand and, for a private guy, it really is a hassle.

I got a couple of greens and a 1.5 red. If you ask me, Green will definately be more interesting to keep than a 1.5 red. This is just individual preference.:)

Here at asia the CHEAPEST Arowana is the SILVER AROWANA followed by Jardini then Green Arowana, banjar red, RTG etc :p

Silvers and jardinis are quite easily available and not CITES protected. the more desirable Asians are slightly more expensive but they do look majestic.
