First thing, tropical species of snakeheads and clarias species cannot survived northern United States, however they might survive in warmer regions such as south Florida....(of course the ecosystems in Florida is already messed up). Wild Asian Arowana is endangered species in the wild, however there is endless supply of captive-bred Asian arowanas.

They shouldn't. There introduction to most Eco systems in said states would result in a collapse and totally destroy them. That's why they are illegal..

Yet it do not makes any sense why 99% snakehead species cannot survive in cold regions, yet they are banned. Funny thing is that carps are still regulated in United States and is responsible for upset the ecosystem, yet they are not banned.

domestic cats cause more problems than any other invasive species and they are not regulated at all. that being said i dont see bans getting lifted anytime soon, the aquarium hobby doesnt have the backing and support for any real movement that would open up lawmakers eyes

It's easier to ban all them then to expect Fish and Game to identify down to the species level at ports of entry.

I met few people in Fish and Game don't know the difference between a walleye and a bass or a piranha and a pacu or even a sucker and a carp. It's called laziness.

So with that in mind, why should the Federal goverment allow these if you know that their agents can't tell the difference?

The question in the OP is too broad to cover with a simple answer. It needs to be separated into banned as a threat to native ecosystems and banned due to being threatened, endangered, or near extinction. Then there's federally banned and banned by your state. Also; banned from import to US vs banned from export from country of origin.

If you want an informed exchange on this topic, please come up with a better argument than; banned fish should be unbanned cuz they're cool.
