Banned fish question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
domestic cats cause more problems than any other invasive species and they are not regulated at all. that being said i dont see bans getting lifted anytime soon, the aquarium hobby doesnt have the backing and support for any real movement that would open up lawmakers eyes

Just imagine if we had an organization with the size and power of the NRA...There'd be snakeheads in every Walmart from Sarasota to Seattle..

There is no Constitutional right to keep fish. An NRA strength organization would be able to help that much.

Uhh without getting too deeply into politrics,as we all know very well that that is not allowed here,I was referring to the size and influence of the organization....Along with plenty of money, that is all they need.

Wt I don't understand is why Jardini and all other arow are illegal in fl and silver are not even tho the are cheaper and hardyer. And who's gona buy a 300-1500$ fish and let it go in a canal.
That ruling must have been put in place by Florida lawmakers and not on the federal level as is the case with the Asian aro....

So with that in mind, why should the Federal goverment allow these if you know that their agents can't tell the difference?
Simple: fire them and replace them with people with better knowledge. After all they are not trained to ID fish or an animal in question. Also Federal government are not biologists.

I tried to become a fwc officer in florida they only hire veterans and and previous cops lol yet ever one I might so far doesn't really know much about any kinda fish down here well I wait I know 1 that does

Most of the fish that are currently banned either have a "bad rap" or are on the endangered list.. Take freshwater stingrays for example, some of the states have restrictions on them for the simple fact that they are a venomous species... These are the states that allow them to scientific institutions for study only..

they should be un-banned because people are intelligent and responsible enough to...to...
sorry, couldn't even type it much less say it.
