That makes sense, there is a water heater thread that plumberbaltimore posted in where it was obvious that he hadn't even read the first post. How do they get rid of this guy?
I don't see the usefulness of a sink. Why not just plumb directly into the tank? Why put a sink in the middle of the mix?
When I finish tiling the area, my tank will be moved to where a mini bar used to be (I ripped it out a while ago). I plan on directly plumbing the tank into the capped off water lines. I am on well water so I am not concerned about chlorine. I am going to set my tank up to do a continuous water change. A constant dribble of water into the tank and a constant dribble of water out of the tank. Then I plan to never do a water change again.
A sink in the stand sounds like it would be much too inconvenient for washing filter pads and such. Just plumb the tank into the water lines directly. Don't forget to add a check valve to the waterline going into the tank though.
oh hi, been gone for a while. Just now getting around to finally setting up this tank...
Oughtsix, When doing a large water change I want to be able to run the water and adjust the temp appropriately before filling the tank. In order to do this I need to be able to drain unused water and still be able to put a thermometer or my hand in it. I don't want to run a python to the kitchen sink so I figure why not put a bar sink under the stand. I would still use the kitchen sink for washing filter pads and equipment. the bar sink under the stand is simply to make water changes simpler.
