Baracudda help!!

apparently my 1 ft barracuda swallowed one of the clams someone in my family dropped in my aqaurium for my puffers and triggers.

will this kill him or will his stomach acids break it down

I will buy him !!! how much ??

o i forgot i posted this he survived. but he outgrew my 180 and i had to give him to my lfs. he is till there hes about a foot long. i doubt anyone will buy him but i might rebuy him if i get a bigger tank.

lol Awesome! I ran to get my field guide and it looks like either a Guaganche from the Atlantic coast of the US or a Blackfin barracuda from the Tropical Pacific!

That fish is the "Shyraena shyraena" (Great or European Barracuda) The young all have the dark chevrons on their flanks, they appear in the trade quite often. I once kept a pair, unfortunately, my Plectropomus grouper chased them down, and the rest is history.
