Vikash.. hi.. yes.. the barbels do have significance.. i believe in this because i have seen it with all my aros.. due to the size of my pond/tank i have to take two days to empty the water in stages.. as the water level drops or if the water is murky and not to the mark.. the barbels are spread apart.. the day i change water and there is plenty of oxygen the barbels get closer.. just my theory but could be wrong.. if they are stressed the barbels are wide apart.. if all is well they get closer.. check your water parameters.. you aro looks brilliant.. all the best.. cheers
