Barbus / Puntius callipterus?? Look alike?

Unlike some of you, a college student doesn't necessarily have the luxury of a digital camera nor the pocket deep enough to afford one. Instead of "jesus christ" how about "Let me check my atlas real quick" That is, if you own one.

well, its just hard to believe that you don't know anyone at your whole college that doesn't have a digital camera or a camera phone for that matter.
it would also make it a LOT easier for us to ID for YOU.....

Well, yes, but see, the thing about being in college is... we are busy folks.
I am sure that if somebody took a quick peek in their atlas and looked under "barbs" and found a "large sized checker barb look alike" we'd have an answer very soon.

Consider the callipterus photo YOUR photo to work with, just add a tinfoil barb's dorsal. Not difficult to envision I'd imagine.
