bare bottom rbp

would it be ok to do a rbp bare bottom tank would have any effect on them

with bare bottom it makes cleaning easier, IME my pygos never liked bare bottom tank. they were very skittish and always swimming against the bottom of the tank. Once I added substrate they become less skittish and start swimming all over the tank.

As long as the bottom is painted I dont see a problem.

My mac tank is bare bottom, they play with their reflection but dont seem stressed or skittish

yea rite now my 180 is bare bottom just drift wood no plants are gravel but wana set it up for some rbp
