Bare bottom tanks??

Used to have pics, but not on this comp.
If you look on here you can prolly find some.
In fact, in the gar media lounge there's a thread with a tank that has black slate and plants.
 
I have two 67gal tanks one with gravel the other bare. The bare one has "muckier" water, just cant seem to get the water clean.

Got mixed views from both sides myself so I'll say its every person to their own. I do look at tanks from each individual basis. I personally am more wow'd over beautiful planted tanks than barebottomed tanks with beautiful fish

Some people just have no choice due to their unique needs/behaviors or has a fish room full of fish and don't have the time to invest

I have heard of peoples fish spitting gravel/rocks/sands into filter intake tubes and ruin filters
 
Thanks for all the input, and insight. If it's easier to keep a cleaner tank with out gravel, that may be my way to go.. Again Thanks.
