Bare Minimum Height for a Jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you can afford the biggest tank, the better. Bare minimum would be the size that you mentioned 48x24x20.

Much easier to make a glass tank.

this tank is gonna be built by me. im trying to keep it as small as i can because im scared that the bigger i make it, the more room there is for mistake. i guess i could make it 2.5 feet wide. i'll post some pics on the diy forum once i get started on it.

i would say it needs to be atleast 6*2*2 if you can make it 6 by 2.5 or 3 by 2 feet tall

yeah i agree with that. but i have kept my jardini in a 4x2x2 (LxWxH) for a few years now and he's doing super. if you cant afford the best size, compensate with frequent and religious water changing routines

Not just the water changing. A better and effective filtration is preferred too.;)

i take it back, im gonna buy the tank used -_- this thread was still useful in letting me noe minimum height/width

nothing under 2 foot tall and it should be 3 feet wide... mines happy in the 180 gallon, however he's only 14 inches
