umm, not all piranhas will eat pellets...i guess in the grand scheme of things it's like what would you rather have, pumpkin pie or a salad. pellets are the salad of your fish's diet. the massive delight aren't huge but perhaps try hikari's cichlid gold, medium size

They are floating pellets though but i enjoy watching mine rise to eat them from the surface

 @ pumpkin pie, that's what I kinda figured....I was trying to start changing their diet while they are still young compared to them getting older & getting stubborn & picky. But I'll give those other pellets a try...thanks!!

that's it, I gave them feeder fish when I 1st got them, then I switched them over to shrimp...they eat that, and I started giving them pellets but they didn't respond when it was just them as food. So I stuffed them inside of the shrimp...

if you're looking for more ideas. Work in fish fillet, talipia is usually the cheapest but whatever is the cheapest at your local grocery store is best. At the frozen food window

Earthworm is also good. just wash the dirt off. fun to watch them eat it.

they'll rise to the surface and eat crickets if you're into that. i like seeing a leg hangin out of their mouth for a brief second.

I'll give these a shot, I just wanna give them the HEALTHY things they need compared to the JUNK food that they don't need. Plus I wanna bring out their color more & help with growth as well...

if that's the case, just mix up their diet as much as you can. you can even give them multiple things in one feeding with fish or shrimp as the core

Sorry for the small derail, jp, have you jumped on the marble cray bandwagon yet?

also try romaine lettuce, if you leave it in for a day or so on a clip, your fish might nibble on it. my only problem with pellets or sticks, is i have about 2600GPH flow in my tank and everything gets blown around too quick and my fish wont eat in front of me unless i sit there for 10 min
