DOES ANYONE KEEP SALT WATER BARRACUDAS SEEN ONE TODAY ABOUT 14 INCHES FOR 200$ LOOKS MEANER THAN A ATF VERY SCRARY LOOKING EVEN AT THAT SIZE WISH I HAD SALT WATER TANK. :devil:
 
sounds expensive to me, i bet its not that tough especially 200$s tough
 
I used to have two great barracuda's in my tank. I loved them just throw in glass shrimp or when they got bigger dam's and zoom from one end of the tank to the outher like nothing. That's the average price for one that size. I would recomend you get one that is 2-4 inches and just grow him up. They grow very fast so in about a year you will have one that size. Oh and there also senitive to water prem's so they have to be keepted perfect.
 
Are u guys talking about the barracuda that grows 6' long? That would take a hell of an aquarium.

well i am once they got to big i brought them to a local aquarium that i know the directer i worked out the deal before i bought them and once they reached a certain size they were put in a monster's tank at the aquarium. I see them about once a month.

I kepted mine with short bigeyes, lookdown's, majestic fox face. Basicaly anything that is to fat to eat or bigger then them
 
i actually think 200.00 is a little steep!

that sounds like i good deal you have there -

ive often seen cudas for sale when there about 2-4in and always wondered what sive tank they would need as an adult probably at least 1000 gal for it to actually be healthy
