Where do you buy your pellets from? The Age of Aquariums delivers for a $7.50 regardless of weight and size. Just order in bulk once every 2-3 months. Then again it isnt that great because you miss out on all those LFS visits.

yeh he was in a really bad shape. im surprised he chases. my barras move the rear part of dorsal and use the anal fin in a hovering style and slowly go to target and just pounce.

Thats not a pretty number what with my allowance. Skip a day or two and or feed sparingly. Anything to help reduce the amount they feast upon.

dude they arent agro when they eat. they just leisurely oipen there mouths uck all the wateer in and bang one feeder fish 1/2 its size in its mouth no chewing. if ur barra aint do that then it will never.

Where did you get yours? wild caught? Also you feed feeders which IMO probably ups the aggression at feeding time.

Mine feeds somewhat aggressively I think. I feed him his food right in front of him so there's no need for that turn manevuer but like any perch he sucks anything that's food in whole.

Oh and I only feed mine every other day or so. I feed him enough on those days that he doesn't want to eat on the days in between. If I skip two days then look out when you take the lids off he's coming for your fingers thinking they're shrimp.

Oh and nice barra's! Very underated fish! What else is in that tank?

yeh i want some quick growths, i want it to reach 4' in under 3 years.

mine are bred speciemens, i guess when i use feedersi have about 120 in the tank so chasing is not needed.
in that tank i have:

2 Barramundi
1 Coal Grunter
1 Khaki Grunter
2 Silver Perch
2 Plecs
1 Murray Cod
1 Sleepy cod
1 Scat
and 3 cichlids

Ahh now I get it.. Yeah I think most do that. Cool move they do though.

I knew I saw a scat. What kind of scat is that and is that full freshwater tank or brackish?
