barred midas tankmates

:( cam i want some. the barred is right about 10", my mother in law picked it up for me as an early birthday present. guess i married into the right family. ;) gotta give the wifey love she just got me a new lil albino tiger oscar last night, and she hates my fish obsession.
 
I have a pair of midas that I had in a 250 and got along with all the other fish. What size is your tank? That may have something to do with why your midas won't let anything else in the tank.
 
there in the 90 cause the midas killed one of my oscars in the 500, so no i dont think size of tank has to do with as much as how much it moves, and whether or not it knows when to back down.
 
does that look like a vent tube to anyone? just wondering.
