My buddy used to feed his fish basa fillet. And he said it's very oily. Not good for long term feeding!

It sucks! Smushy and falls apart easily. I rather stick with tilapia fillet

Ya flakes in the water and gets everywhere. Tilapia is denser and holds together better. Basa and swai are usually a pagnasious (spelling) catfish so related to id sharks and paroon.

Agreed on the flaky flesh getting everywhere and making a mess in the tank. ..and as far as for human consumption it does not taste as good as regular supermarket catfish.

Thank you everyone for your input. I will stop feeding base and go with tilapia or even squid.
