Baseball the new soccer?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Holy **** that's nuts. I hope someone ends up behind bars for this.

Not surprising though, ever been to a Mets vs Yankees game at Yankee stadium? The walk back to the parking lot is loud, annoying, confrontational, and stanks of beer :grinno:

sad though, you go to a baseball game and leaves with brain damage

I know! That usually happens at mud bogs or demolition derbies.

this dude is still hospitalized and the attackers have not been found. new article today. i'd like to think i'm a loyal person but 100,000 dollars would have me thinking awfully hard about turning a friend in.

The search for justice for the San Francisco Giants fan who was severely beaten outside Dodger Stadium on Opening Day was bolstered by the appearance in Los Angeles on Thursday of about 200 billboards showing police sketches of the suspects, according to a Santa Cruz (Calif.) Sentinel report.
Lamar Advertising Co. donated the billboards, which tout a $100,000 reward for information that contributes to the apprehension of Bryan Stow's attackers, according to the report.
"I think it's a great thing that this company's doing this," LAPD detective P.J. Morris told the Sentinel, adding that representatives for Lamar had reached out last week to police about the possibility of putting up the billboards.
"I think it will certainly generate more people calling. Anything out there that can generate interest in the public, the better."
Stow, a 42-year-old paramedic and father of two, was beaten in a parking lot by two men in Dodgers gear after the March 31 season opener. He remains hospitalized in Los Angeles.

The first indication baseball is turning into soccer... the SCORE! What baseball game ends in 2-1...

Secondly, that guy needs some new friends... It went from 2 taunting 3, to 2 beating 1... I either stick up for my friends or at least make sure they're next to me when we're hoofin' it!

Hoping for a full recovery...

Have a look at what is gonig on in Scotland at the moment. Celtic, one of the big Scottish clubs, manager has had a nail bomb sent to his house and last weekend was actually attacked during a match. Ok, so it's not actualy over FOOTBALL* but even so.

No that's not normal! :grinno: Niell Lennon is being targetted because of;
A. Where he's from (northern Ireland)
B. Where he's working (Scotland)
C. He's in the media spotlight (Celtic are title challengers EVERY year)
D. The club he manages (Celtic)
E. He's ginger (This may not be true)

It's not specifically because of football- the politics/prejudices outside of football are fueling these problems and the media is fanning the flames.

All that toss about football violence is a stereo type from the eighties when football violence ACTUALLY existed. Any spectator sport where alcohol can be consumed in excess while watching can lead to violence of some form- it's hardly limited to football.

If you want examples of real football violence, Poland has a terrible football holligan problem on a scale 10x worse than a lot of other countries. You can compare some of their most prevalent gangs to the most violent street gangs in the US, their actions regularly leading to stabbings, vicious attacks and even murders;

Ref the final point; Let's call that Upside-down Hand egg. Or Aussie Rules. Either works.

^ lol, that's exactly the type of stuff i'm talking about...stabbing, murder is all in the same category as sending a nail bomb to me.

upside down hand egg, got it
