You'll have trouble breeding LMB with crawdads and other sunfish and such in there. If there aren't just bass in there, you'll have some trouble. For one, dad will get EXTREMELY aggressive when he's guarding the nest. Another thing is, those crawdads won't last very long with and LMB; crawdads are an LMB favorite. If they DO survive, they'll eat the offspring. Sunnies will be too much of a harassment to dad while he's guarding the nest. You'll end up with some dead fish eventually, either the sunnies or the male LMB. Also, don't plan on planting the whole tank. The male will destroy the plants to make a nest; he needs atleast a 3ft diameter circle of bare substrate for this if he's 18". The bigger he is, the more room he'll need.
fishlver dude you sound like you have experience with the breeding of LMB. i have seen them in the lake and i will try to match the environment so they can breed.
