Bass for a pet?

Bass are cool to raise, I had a LMB in a 125g in the backyard, he ate feeders and nightcrawlers, he got about 6lbs then I let him go in the local pond. Great fish!
 
yeah i dont own a bass, i just heard people have kept them, and i was curious how you are able to actually get one and what legal things would you have to go through? but right now i just have cichlids, like JD's and a Firemouth ect
 
Legal things? Who is going to investigate whether you ate your bass or kept it as a pet? just dont be stupid about it.
i have kept sunfish, which i a smaller version of bass. he was fine in a tropical tank and ate pellets.
