bass tank ?

do you get a lot of surface agitation from your filter outputs? if they're up at the surface roiling the water surface and pulling little bubbles into the water, it's probably not an oxygen problem. if you have them lower and don't break the surface tension much, an air pump could help.
the sunfish behavior you described does sound like an O2 shortage.
running the bubbles into your filter streams will help put the air into the water better.

Ty just bought a air filter and bubblier today and i am going to try that technique of letting the bubbles in front of the filter. do you recommend i have the bubbles go in the inlet tube or strictly in front of the outlet tube.

experiment with which way you like best. as long as the fish are happy, it doesn't really matter. running the air into the filter will certainly diffuse the air into the water better, but you may not like the noise, the look, or the reduced efficiency or malfunctioning of the filter. a canister filter for instance, should not have air fed into the filter, a powerhead is fine with it, a HOB would depend.

FYI: We had terrible luck with crayfish in our tanks. We would occasionally put some wild caught ones in our 150 and within a couple of weeks they'd die. They are fun to watch and they certainly love to eat and keep the bottom clean, but just make sure you know how many you have so that if you do lose one you can get 'em out of your tank asap. Oh, and make sure they can't get out. I found one crawling around in my son's shoe one time :)
