Just remember that I posted the fact that Illinois has no statewide size limit but that does not mean you can take bass at any size from all waters. I was on your side!

I'm not suggesting that someone will break down your door or even fine you (but they could if your bass isn't legal). I am suggesting that the law is important to follow whether you are likely to be caught or not. I would also remind you that wildlife enforcement regularly patrols internet forums (we all know of forum members who have been caught via forums).

If the native fish hobby is nothing more than a bunch of people with no respect for the law, the enforcement agencies can make it very difficult on the people that have always followed the law. Please don't ruin it for us.

Your best bet on temp would be to match the temp of the place where you got them at all times. In the summer it might heat up and in the winter it might get cold. For optimum health you should somewhat regularly check the temp on wherever you got them.
