Batman rays?

What are these Batman rays? I have seen them on Aquabid and the wings don't join up with the head. Is it just a genetic defect that is propagated?

it isn't a propagated defect, it just happens sometimes. The disk doesn't form all the way round the front.

I have had it happen with two of my motoro litters. However, the defects that I saw were not as great. It is fairly common.

Can they survive in the wild well like this? Never heard of them being WC like this.

i don't think batman has anything to do with feng shui

From what I was told by stingrayguy? I think(or might have been oddball) they are harder to raise to a good size with this defect hence the high price on larger specimens. Also the defect isn't always as symetrical..
