Battery powered air pump?

That's part of the setup I'm considering, however it's not the full setup - as previously explained, I'm after something that will work for an extended period of time. An inverter (even at 8000watts) doesn't actually supply power as far as I'm aware, nor does it work automatically, etc.
 
a car battery would not work for this. they drain fast, but are recharged as the car runs by the electrical system in the car. your car battery dies if you even leave a dome light on in the car overnight. without being recharged by the car, a car battery is pretty weak for power
 
I think that depends on the battery capacity, how many batteries there are, and the draw of power from it. Car batteries aren't the best for this project, but they are an affordable option.
