Battery Powered Air Pumps

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
also how long does that run on batts before you have to change them?

Keep spare batteries. I've never had a battery go out, but then I've only run them several hours at a time. For long power outages, we would run to town and get a generator. I just checked. The orginal batteries are still in, and the BPAP still turns on :) There were two never used batteries stashed with the BPAPs. These are what I have.

I just read more on this "cheap" model. It has a 90 day warranty. I guess I'm lucky that mine still work after 7 years! Just glad I don't have to use BPAPs anymore.

BPAPs are peace of mind when you do not have a generator.

Thats good to hear that that works well, has anyone else had experience with this. I saw that in my travels but had pretty bad reviews. Have either or you had problems with yours? or have they worked pretty solid?

Never had any issues whatsoever. I ran my pod all night on used batteries that were taken on a few fish trips, after 7 hours it was still on, by the time I got home it was off so not sure how long it actually last. They used D cell batteries so they last a while. I would recommend you getting one.

Thanks for the advice :)

I use livewell/boat pumps. 12V. Power goes out and I just hook up 12V air and water pumps ran off some dry cells I have sitting around. Gets low, take out to car and charge. Can run a long time off a good car battery before needing to charge. Can also use them on long car rides..... You can use the water pumps to fasion makeshift wet/dries with bio from home for the really long rides.....
