So I appologize for not taking a picture already, but I'll try and get one up. I picked up a very wierd catfish yesterday that nobody at the store knew anything about. I have it in a 26 gal with a betta trying to figure out what it is and whether it would be suitable for the big community tank.
So here's the deal: It was refered to as a "Hurushuqui" cat, though I can't find any info about that. It's about 5" with a brown color, thick bony plates on a very pointed head. The nerve line is topped by a sawtooth set of barbs that start small by the gills and get progressively larger as they go back. It looks downright evil, though I'm not sure he's so bad. The betta he spent the night with would swim right up to him and he wouldn't react.
So any thoughts? What on earth is this guy!?

Judging by the description I would agree with above or possible M. uranoscopas (formerly Irwini).
