BATTLE: LOS ANGELES

Wow guys! I never read any reviews of this film and I didn't know that it was loosely based on an incident in history.I was looking forward to seeing this film on the strength of the commercials that were shown on television. They got my attention...I agree with Madding though,it did have a feel of a pro military production, especially in the beginning.

It was okay, i didn't like it that much but my friends loved it. I didn't like the way they filmed the movie... every scene, it seem as the camera was always shaking, especially during the action scene... headache. :)

I didn't notice the camera moving,I guess I was too busy enjoying the flick.I will look out for it though as there is a good chance that I will see it again.

Yeah, they filmed the entire thing with hand-cam, works with some movies, didn't really feel necessary with this one.

possibly, but have you heard of this case or researched about it before or simply just looked it up right now and only read what wiki said and automatically believed what it says?

not saying your wrong, but i suggest reading and looking up more source about this case. cuz its pretty interesting. and if you did read everything what wikki says. somethings dont add up.

it said it was likely a losted air balloon, total blackout during the event. 1,400 shells fired....1,400 shells fired at an balloon...really? this lasted for 1 hour. isnt that too long? wouldnt the object flown away as soon as it knew it was being fired? if not shot down at that many rounds and recovered?

just my opinions.

I'm a huge UFO nerd, which is why I just wanted to clarify the time frame and stuff for you. I'm not bashing anyone who believes something may have happened.

I personally don't think the "real" 'Battle of LA' had anything to do with UFO's from outer space (something weird did happen though).

There are other cases I find much more interesting and unexplainable.

Based on a true story is funny stuff!!!!talk about stretching the truth. The hand held camera filming was fine for blair witch project but should have stopped there.
Join the Marine's was a clear meaning of this movie.

Well, it was based on a real event. That's more than most 'Based on a True Story' movies can say - Blair Witch included.

They do that with some action movies because it makes them look more like they were getting filmed as it happend like on the bourne movies

I hope I don't offend anyone, but this movie was terrible. There was no plot, nothing to keep the viewer intruiged. All it was was 2 hours of action and corny speeches, and to be honest there are way better action movies that don't use nearly as much CGI. I mean I have seen way worse but I found myself ready to leave as soon as the main character was deployed.
