i have to laugh at anyone who says the SEC is overrated. take whatever conference your team is in. let's take the pac 10 for example. For the pac 10 to equal what the SEC has done, usc would have to win 2 titles, oregon 1, oregon state 1 and let's say stanford is the next best team...they'd have to win 1 in consecutive years! can the big 10 do that? big 12? hell no. just give props where it's due
my thoughts about the game. i was looking forward to seeing the contrast in style and oregon never played their style. Anyone who's watched them in any game other then the cal game would know their style is to run a play 10-12 seconds AFTER the previous play stops. not one possesion did they do that. it's like the oregon coach heard all the criticism that that's the only reason they won all their games (it's true btw) and wanted to try to stand toe to toe with the best in the SEC..and the better athletes came out on top.
Second, after dyer makes that big run down to the 23 with 2 minutes left, i'm saying if i'm the coach, i tell my players to let them score so we can get the ball back and tie it to take it to overtime. do i like my chances of auburn missing a field goal from that distant or the chances of my offense tying it and playing in overtime? personally, the ducks tying it and taking it to overtime is the safer bet for me. Oregon's coaching blew this game by not playing their style and not trying to savage the game at that point with 2 minutes left. Sad day to be a duck, i kid you not, people are flying their oregon flags halfmast. hahaha
