Thanks doyboy. I have had the Fronts from young and before getting the rays. They all get along fine, no issues. But i am selling them as i want to end up with just the rays and some Dats along with the Gars.

How does that softshell do with them? Any nipping? Does it have a place to bask? You may know, but with those, you will need to either have a mercury vapor UVB bulb on the tank or feed it some food stuffed with calcium supplament with vitamine D3 or it will get MBD. I learned that the hard way as a kid. The shell started curling at the back and within a few months it passed away. Awsome tank.

He is a real character for sure. I had him since he was small and took the plunge to put him with the rays whilst everyone was young. They all get along great (for now) obviously i keep a VERY close eye on things. The turtle eats like a pig but so long as there is enough food for everyone then things are cool. Turtle must be 6 or 7" now. When he was younger he had a basking spot with UVB bulb. He never once used it. Now he is in the main tank there is no spot to bask. I have read different things about them and wondered if i could catch him and allow him some sunshine once in a while through the summer? Thanks for the info though, i will research this further.

Those are some of the best quality BD in the UK today Jim.....Stunning!
Your a brave man keeping that Chinese Softshell Turtle(Pelodiscus sinensis) in there, they have a guillotine action bite, Fly rivers are always a risk but having kept many species of turtle over the years this is one I personally wouldn't trust with fish, certainly not of this type and quality.
Tank and fish do look fantastic, no question about it!

Thanks, really appreciate the comment. I am VERY happy with them and the tank. The turtle is always a point for debate. I decided to take the plunge and added the turtle to the rays when all were young and small. They appear to be getting on really well. All eat together and have no issues. Needless to say i need to keep a close eye on this though.

Jim... thosr bds really have turned out very special. They have all the traits of AAA.
Thousand island. Big spots and loads of them.
A truly beautiful tank to . Great lighting.

The main tank is 9x4x2 with a 6x2.5x2 sump which has a holding area for pups (if i am lucky enough!)
