BD's & 2 New 480 builds + sump

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very nice Mike... your fish room is making a huge change. Now you need to get ahold of some hens!

I could use a high quality male hen myself.

What size are the UVs? What are you using for air and diffusers? Sorry for the questions, don't see setups of this caliber very often.....

Looks like a very nice setup, and those rays are just friggin gorgeous.....

Could look into radial flow separators if you're sick of swapping socks so often, easy to build and seem to be pretty easy to get to work. Only drawback is the room they take up.

I'd love to see the brownies too....... :)

Mike you have to make a video of all the tanks and Rays so everyone else can see what I seen today!!! I was just there this morning guys to pick up a few things from him and trust me these little videos on here do NO JUSTICE AT ALL!!!

You would really have to see it to believe it, the tanks are really nice and impressive and he built all 4 of the 480 gallons himself, with 180 gal. sumps, 4000 GPH pumps, 75 watt stainless steel UV's and 6.5 GPH drip system on each tank, But you would have to see the size and quality of the Rays to believe it!! I have been to many Zoo's, shows and SeaWorld many times and these are by far the nicest Fresh water Rays I have ever seen!!!! And on top of all that he is one of the nicest, coolest guys you could meet!!! Thanks for the goods deals Mike, it was really nice to meet you and I hope to do business with you again!!! I will be back to buy some of those rays real soon when the tank is ready.. keep up the good work and make that video real soon!!

Sweet Mike. Very impressive set up you have designed. Keep pumping out those pups!

Glad to hear she is doing well, still bums me about the pup. Would like to see some vid of her and the other marble breeders. Let me know when she births again, be nice to have one of her female pups.
Also a female BD of the new male breeders bloodline.

I will get more videos up when I get things moved.... Will let you know when she pups again.

Mike B

I would also love to see the marble breeders. And hekk, while your at it lets see the pearls as well :)

Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

I will get videos up soon. Male Pearl is a little chewed at the moment.

John, Thanks! The Hens will be awhile. I need to get more female Pearl and P14's first.

Great looking systems there, and clean plumbing.

You build the tanks yourself?

Reed, Built tanks and sumps myself in the basement so I wouldn't have to move far. It was quite a task to get on the stands myself. Each tank has 3-1/2 sheets of acrylic @ 93lbs/sheet.

It all looks so nice and clean - would be great to see more of the tanks filtration and stock, looks a very serious set up

Coming Soon.

Thanks!

The first sump has 8 - 10" cylindrical Ceramic Diffusers and an MEDO 80 Linear pump.

The second sump I'm going to use round flat diffusers glued to the bottom of sump so they dont move run by another Medo 80.

I looked into inline seperators but they are $350/seperator and it's an expensive experiment if they don't work.

I will get videos up soon.

Well done. Moving tanks is one of my least favorite things to do lol, I have to do most of it by myself as well.

Do you have a good place down there with quality acrylic (Polycast, Acrylite GP)?
