Haha! We all have the "dovii stories!"

I broke my hand last year. Two weeks later, guess which hand my male dovii grabbed a hold off? I was just leaning it on the tank while using the other hand to control the siphon tube. Hurt like $%&@!

At least he stayed in the tank this time

I took some new ones for my friend......the MOB

LOL my Severums decided I intruded into his tank too much and gave me 2 bites. They're still babies, about 2", but it was still quite a pinch.

My oscars used to try to eat my fingers. My albino managed to swallow my pinky up to the second knuckle until pulled away.

Pictures help newbies, understand and see how big some of these fish get, to answer there question whether or not they can house the fish ;)

Been there and they've done that, man.

It's been the females that have inflicted worse wounds than males on every occasion where I've been hammered by a cichlid with fry.
Dovii and trimacs being the two species I remember as getting the best bites.

In the wild, the male guapotes split when you approach a pair with fry. The females are far more protective when it comes down to it.

Hell hath no fury like a woman.... Don't mess with Mrs. Guapote when she's guarding babies!
