I want to dive into my first LED lights. These will be for plants and I'm still not sure whether I want medium or high light. I might just get high lights just to have the option of more plants, but besides Finnex, I'm not sure if the others provide high lights. So I'm curious if anyone has had experience with any of these lights. How would you compare them if you've tried any combination of these brands, if not all?
I'm looking at...

Beamworks Evo
Beamworks Hi Lumen
Current USA Satellite Freshwater LED Plus
Finnex FugeRay Plant Plus
Finnex Ray II

I have the satellite and it's not bright enough for a 24" deep. I honestly feel like I wasted money... I do like the fugeray, I have it in a 8 footer and really brightens the 24" deep tank.

For now I'm looking for a 40B, but I will eventually be looking for one to fit a 75g.

Ive used the beamswork and wasnt impressed. I am however very impressed with the kessil a150w... something different but it throws some serious light and great for wider tanks(easily cover a 3x3' area with their gooseneck)

I can sell you my satellite plus if you're interested. I'm in the SFV.. The light is less than a month old and turned on like 5-7x.

Huh?! Did you scape your sump?

I currently use the sats on this setup. A single 48-60 was not enough for 24" but I added the 44" Flex sat + and it's just about right. Single 36-48" on the bottom

Sorry for the quick derail, but where did you get the fake grass thats in the middle of the top tank? What are they called?

Thanks in advance!

</end derail>
