argentea is looking sick, hows the beani doing?

Thanks for the kind words guys.

The Beani came from Rio Presidio River and I grew it out since it was 2". It is one of the most aggressive cichlids I ever owned (for its size). I had a pair before in a 180g tank. They almost killed each other when they were only 5" long. I had to separate them. Now, the female is with Gani.

I moved him into my 240g tank and it quickly became the dominant fish. It started to chanllenge the much much larger male argentea and RTM just a few days after I dropped him into the 240. Now, he is the king of the tank and claims half of the tank to himself. He would only allow pearsei to swim near him.

Anyway, I am sure many of you have gotten some beanis from Joe. Here is the diet I use for my Beani. I feed it mostly biogold plus, excel and dried krills as treats. My friend who collected them recalled that in Presidio River, he found alot of algea and shrimps. I guess algea and shrimps are their main diet in the nature. Therefore, it is better to include some spirulina pellets in their diet. They are fairly easy to raise as long you keep your water clean and don't overfeed. Enjoy all your beanis. :)

Thanks for the feeding guide. As my Beani Group should be arriving tuesday hopefully. I was wondering what their natural diet was so thanks. Just have to quarentine the little suckers and introduce them to their new friends lol. As usually your fish are Fantastic!
