I have a beani about 2 to 3 inches, and he is not eating. He hasn't eaten in about two days. I have him in a 360 tank with too many fish, but it was only temporarly. I have him in there with Pink Fenestratum, black nasty, male grammode, green terror, two escondidos, and two red jewels.

They are not chasing him, although he swims very slow and mouths moves around like he is chewing something other than that he looks ok, but just stopped eating. I was thinking about moving him into a 30 gallon tank with a divider on it with a female Festae on the other side.

Do you have any suggestions. All the fish in the tank show good colors and looks good. I did a 50 percent water change last night. Just feed them this morning to see if the Beani would eat and he wouldn't. I am concerned about me constantly entering the tank upseting him even more, but this weekend I am thinking about putting him into the 30 gallon tank.

Can anyone give me some advice that my help him?
 
Move it to the 30 immediately and block the view of the festae.
Sounds like stress induced bloat. Bloating is not always obvious, and aggression does not always have to be obvious to be deadly either.
After you put it in it's own tank, and add epsom salts to purge the gut.
Search bloat on this sight and meds, other treatments and discussion will be provided.

Yea..sounds like he might have a case of bloat as Beani's are highly prone to it. Just do everything that Duanes suggested...good luck!
 
I have removed the Beani from the 360 gallon community tank, and put him in a 30 gallon tank with a divider in it with a female grammodes on the other side. I also have completed about 30% water change and added epson salt to the aquarium.

I will not attempt feed him today, what should I be doing or looking for at this point?

He looks ok at this point although I haven't had a chance to monitor him much, because I made the changes late last night.
 
If it is bloat, you should see white stringy feces, and it will probably not be interested in food for a couple days, so feeding would be fruitless and only contribute to the degradation of water quality.
If it pulls through you will know , it will become less lethargic, and show interest in food. If the dorsal area starts to lose mass, and colors become uncharacteristically dark, the condition may be beyond help.
Watch the grammode closely too, I have seen bloat go slowly from fish to fish.
 
Thanks for your help, when should I do another water change, and when should I add more epson salt if any?
 
Only add new salt when you do waterchanges, salt stays in the water even after it evaporates. IMO I'd have the Beani by itself in the tank.
