Do you want to end up with a pair or just one? If it is just one, than having the strong kill of the others isn't the worse thing. I do not have pics, but I will try to take some. Just keep an eye on them, and if you notice one becoming dominant shuffle the tank up or take him out.

I ordered them to see wgat i get. I want whatever they decide to do for me. If i get a pair then sweet and if they all live and i dont get a pair i will keep the one i like the most

this fish has come under fire on here the past few weeks and im glad to see all the people showing love do one of the great cichlids

After 4-5 months, we will make an update and show our beani's to MFK and let them judge which beani looks better lol. It would be fun.

Ok sounds good. What have you observed while keeping yours so far. I dont remember much of my dads from when i was little. What are you feeding as rapps told me to stick to flakes with them for a while
Flakes is crap.
Feed them once a day(SMALL serving).
Not much aggression.
I feed mine in the mornings ONLY
Monday=NLS+Algae Wafer
Tuesday=Krill+Water change
Wednesday=Bio-Gold
Thursday=NLS+Water Change
Friday=Bloodworms & Market Shrimp
Saturday=Algae Wafer+Bio-Gold
Sunday=Algae Wafer+Water Change
The algae wafer is broken into small pieces.
When I change the water it is about 50%.
Repeat that process every week. Also remember I feed SMALL servings!
Mine is very active. When I saw mine in the LFS he was the meanest one, giving the other ones fin rot lol. I knew he was easily the healthiest so I bought him.
Thats a nice lil schedule. I gotta pick up a few things at the lfs tomar i quess ill give NLS a shot.
