bearded brumation

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No if you keep him in the normal temp and photoperiod range and have uv ligth:confused: It can also be sign of hillness

basking spot is around 100-115 depending on how far he is from the log
my room got pretty cold when we were hit with this below zero storm. i need cealer under my window because i can feel the draft. but the cage is far from the window. should i wake him up?
the cool side of the cage is at 76

no
its around 70 night time tho
we are in the procces of ceiling my window and it should be dont by tonight
i soaked him in warm water.
his sunburst colors came back. and an hour later he started eating like a pig.
i hope it stays like this
hes the weirdest bearded ive ever owned
one day hes sick the other day hes fine
i got him for 30 bucks but the rest of his clutch was worth 250 each
so i think that has something to do with it

That nigth time temp is to low I would keep it in the 80, get a heat pad and you will be fine. But even then you shouldnt be keeping him in a no insulated room in mid winter:confused: Also you didnt yet ansered me if he has uv ligth all you said is that hes got a basking ligth wich isnt necessarily a uv one:confused:

the room is heated.
i just get a breeze every now and then.
normally just a very small breeze.
but it also had something to do with my mom lowering the temp in the house.
i have a 2.0 uvb
i no i no
i need a 10.0
im getting one when the expo comes around.
i keep the ubv and basking light on 12 hours a day
and i will get a heat pad

temps are fine they dont need a heat pad, the issue lays within the gust of frigid air that comes in through the window. Also is your dragons enclosure full mesh top? If so then cover it 3/4 of the way and that should help with humidity problems that also suck out any humidity, since it is indoors.

well the tank is mostly covered with the old school fixture i have for uvb and the big basking light. at night its around 70
i will measure to make sure and get bak at you with the correct info
but he seems to be doing better
but when i turn on the lights and such he dosent go to the basking spot
he just sits underneath the baskingspot but above him is a peice of cork bark
it stays shadowy
he likes to sleep there

That hood does not constitute full covering of the top by at least 3/4 of the way. The cold draft still gets in and the warm air still escapes alot more.
