Plastic is tough and its cheap and doesn't need misting, sound a little better for you :D

I have always kept Jade Plants in my Leopard Gecko enclosures without any issues. I don't think they are poisonous either. They are a tough plant that doesn't have any sort of thorns or sharp edges.

I like jades a lot but not sure if they are strong enough to withstand a (or several) full grown beardies.

I'm telling you J, plastic :D

That I'm not so sure about that. My leopard geckos weight a lot less then a beardie and they don't climb that much. But there are several different types of Jade Plants. Some species are tree or bush like while others are ground covers. Mine are the bush-like variety. The only thing you have to watch with these plants is that you can't really let their soil get too dry.

Also, does anyone know where I can get large pieces of that cool "desert wood" (cholla??)?

Aquarium Depot, Radalstown. I got a piece I can give to you friday, its not big though.

bonsai trees work good (according to reptiles magazine). kinda expensive, but they're pretty cool:D.

how many beardies are gonna be in there eventually?

i have a couple beardies and well PLASTIC is the way went because they are very destructive when eating and mating.
