bearded dragon keeps hiding

everything is fine in the tank
temps are egzact
night time temps are fine
he comes out to poop and eat
but in the day i have a peice of cork bark and some other wood beside it that he always hides under
he never basks
but he stays warm because he always underneath the basking light but underneath the cork bark too
he isnt mean but dosent realy like being held
does anyone know whats wrong with him?
mabey mentally ill?

can you tell us exactly what the temps are? basking temp, cool side temp ambient temp, humidity etc?

how long have u had him. do u have any other anaimals that might scare him.

What size is it? Small animals make it a habit to hide at all times and come out only for short basking sessions and to hunt for food. If the animal has good weight then quit worrying.

Does anyone think he may be brumating? My beardie shuts down for a few days at a time, but in between he is up and active and VERY hungry.

only adults brumate, he could just be one of those few dragons that love to hide..

I doubt he's mentally ill.
I also question brumation. Don't think I saw any referation to age?
Has there been a sudden change in behaviour or has he always been like this?

i will get temps in a little but they are between 115 and 110 basking spot and cant eremember cool side temp he has always been very strange i think it may be because he was mistreated or dropped at the expo i got him from
the only reason i say he might be mentally ill is because ive seen him chase his tail a few times. he is a juvinile sandfire about 10 inches
