bearded dragon keeps hiding

What about a lilte pacience? Probably its nothing...

hes been doing this for about a month and a hald
i got him in september

everything is fine in the tank
temps are egzact
night time temps are fine
he comes out to poop and eat
but in the day i have a peice of cork bark and some other wood beside it that he always hides under
he never basks
but he stays warm because he always underneath the basking light but underneath the cork bark too
he isnt mean but dosent realy like being held
does anyone know whats wrong with him?
mabey mentally ill?

i wouldnt doubt it lol
i rarley handle it only when cleaning out the cage and soaking
i took him out just to hold the other day to see what he would do and he jumped of my lap and almost went on the side of my tv stand... where it would be hard to get him out
hes not a person kinda bearded not that any are but he dont take well to handling
i took out the hidding spot and kept it simple with just a basking rock and branch
now he lays where the hide used to be
i fed em today
normally he can only eat about 6 large crix and he ate like 15

I think you should put rigth back the hidding spot, if he does that he has its reasons and you must respect that You would also fell uncofortable if you were in a desert with no place to hide from the sun. just my 3 cents...
