Bearded dragons!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would let them settle in for a week before you start to handle them let them get used to their surroundings.

Too many unknowns.

Tank size? Beardie size? Lighting? Do you have UV lighting, that isn't broken up by a screen?

Tbh, you shouldn't really have two beardies in the same cage to begin with.

If you just got them, one might be a bit overwhelmed and you should leave them for a little while. I doubt it's because it's super excited.

I work at a pet store where we keep our beardies together as babies and separate the ones that are growing faster. There are currently five beardies about 1.5 inches long. I was cleaning the fish tanks when a lady comes up to me panicked. "something bad is happening". I follow her to reptiles to find one beardie with another beardies leg in its mouth. It's shaking it like a rag doll and there is blood eveywhere. It took me and a manager to pry them apart. The sad thing is "raggedy beardie" lived and was taken to the vet. It's arm looked like it went through a food processor. The Offender, as I call him immidiatly drank a bunch of water and ate 6 crickets like nothing happened.

Separate them.

That little one is def. being walked on by the bigger one. Separate them immediately. Even if you have UV lighting, he isn't getting it if the other is constantly lying on top.

Could be early signs of MBD.

I put them in a smaller tank. the two have been together for quite a while. the big one never lies on top. Just that once where it crawled over to get a cricket. The smaller one is still on worms and pin heads
