bearded dragons

Bearded dragons by no means need a 120 gal or 6x3x3 which is over 400 gallons. That is ridiculous for one lizard. The smallest recommended is a 40 gallon breeder, or 55. That is fine. They really will not utilize 120, gallons or 400?!? If you really want to i guess you could, but a smaller tank is fine. Once they are full grown, they really dont move around much other than to the basking spot and to eat, and to get out of the basking spot. I have 2 at the moment and have been keeping them for 7 years.

So are varanids, but as crazy and wacky as this may sound. I keep all my dragons in groups and varanids... :screwy:

I agree I have my beardies together and they do just fine as long as the cge is sufficient and for an individual beardie a 40 breeder would be fine actually preferable to a 55 b/c of floor space.

My bearded dragon is 6 years old, and she loves to climb. If you give them something to achieve, I.e having to climb to the basking platform they will remain active well into the adult years. I personally do not recommend pairs or group keeping. My bearded dragon had to have her tail amputated due to clutch mate injury shortly before I purchased her. IMO the risks outweigh the benefits (to me, there are none unless you plan to breed, which is dumb IMO... bloodlines being all filthy and whatnot already)

If you go with a MVB be sure to get a cage for it (the light protector cages), or to have it where you know your bearded dragon won't touch it as getting too close to the bulb can cause serious burns to the dragons body.
