I got my foot long bearded dragon yesterday and I put him in the 55 with all the lights set up and everything. He is not eating and even though i put tomatoes and lettuce in his tank he wont eat it. I tried to give him earthworms but he will not eat those either. The only thing he has eaten since I got him is half a french fry from Wendys.

common case of stress, after buying and assimilation they wont for a bit, give it a couple of days to calm down and get used to its new environment, and dont handle it yet :grinno:

 wow all i can say to that is bring it back to the store before you kill it you obviously didnt do your home work giving it frys are you kidding ??
are you trying to kill it ??
it didnt eat any of that stuff cause they dont eat any of that crap
try crickets mealworms and greens like mustard and colards

Okay man thanks for the advice. I have been handling it since yesterday and he stays on my hand or shoulder or wherever i put him and stays very calm but if i put him down he will wlak around a little but still stays calm. Should I still not handle him?

haha yo man chill i know your not supposed to feed him fries as a staple but half of a fry from wendys is not gonna hurt him. They are omnivores, not pussies. chill man im not gonna feed him a staple of french fries and nuggets.

dont handle him for a couple days and let him poop out the fries. I know its normal to want to handle him right after you buy him, but french fires is kinda ridiculous...

The person who sold it to me told me that I could feed him tomatoes and lettuce and basically any vegetables and i heard they can eat almost any insects

haha it wasnt french fries it was half a fry to see if he would eat it
