the link to my setup can be found in my signature

and heres the pix of him

he looks bad, his head hump is gone and i found him hiding in the back of some rocks breathing heavy,

so i decided to pull him

he is currently in a 20 gal

Tx
i added plenty of salt,
stress zyme as recommended
melafix as recommeded
i will continue this course for 7 days then reassess

the temp is 80

he looks more stable and has eaten since moving to his new home

the tank is not cycled but i added some sponges from my sump to the tank,
i will monitor the parameters closely

so can any one think of anything i can do besides what i have all ready done

he'll be alright.
if it's that beat up and still swimming, it's a trooper
and it will forsure make a recovery.
esp. with your good care.

you seemt be doing everything i would do and have done. i have brought back tons of fish with absolutly no fins to perfect condition using just heat and salt. sounds like heal be ok. poor guy :(

Yeah, he should be cool.

I got some female Umbee that had the crap kicked out of them by an 8" male. After a few weeks in a "safe-zone," they are fine. Fins are back and now they are trying to find fish to pick on.

Give him something to hide behind to reduce his stress level.

You seem to be doing everything right, he looks bad but as long as he doesn't float or go belly up on you you'll be fine. Looks like he's going to make it. Just try not to stress him out. Didn't see anything about aeration, if you can give him a ton of bubbles. Keep his light off and don't mess with him too much aside from water changes and you'll be fine.
