as long as you separate it from the aggressor it will be ok...the polleni in my avatar was pretty much like that about 2 years ago when the dempsey messed it up, but now is 100% recovered

weak! Sorry to the OP. Same thing happened to one of my convicts a few months ago. I threw him in a tank with some small flowerhorns half of his size and they beat him up bad enough to kill him within 10 minutes even though I moved him and quarantined him immediately. Eventually his missing scaled just turned cottony and he died.

how big was he tip to tip before getting beat up, and do u have any pics of him in his prime?. and that sucks i have now 3 male cons over 4" and thick all with bumps on their heads, and the biggest one prolly 4.75 and i would be crushed if one of them died, i love my cons they are a LOT greater than ppl give them credit for.

Yup I used to have a female before, she was really nice. She would lay eggs and there wasn even a male or any other fish with her.
