WOW,suddenly Kentucky is nowon my short list of places to consider for relocation. Thanks for the correction Mr. Vicious,I gotta get a current issue of Shotgun News LOL.

It aint too bad here, my only complaint is the cold winters and its too far from the beach!

Despite Louisville being failry liberal, its a pretty good city. There is alot to do downtown and totally safe compared to most similiarly sized cities. MUCH safer then my home town of Birmingham, Alabama! And of course there is the Kentucky Derby, always fun!

Lousiville is a funny city, its not exactly a southern city, nor a northern city, nor a midwestern city. Its a little bit of it all!

Its also really cheap to live in KY, heck they dont even tax beer or liquor! Its considered an "essential" grocery item! :headbang2

Awesome. Just what you'd expect from the home of sweet sweet bourbon.

As for the feed issues I mentioned earlier I don't think they apply to AKM, or RPD variants but to the original AK. Like I said though it's just hearsay I've never plunked down the cash for one though I should before another assault ban and the price skyrockets.

Unfortunately they tax the hell out of tobacco and are about to jack the tax up again :( even though tobacco is Kentucky's largest legal cash crop. The cities of Lex and Lou both have banned smoking in public and PRIVATE businesses. I am not a smoker that just angers me when the gubnent tries to regulate what a privately ran business can allow its patrons to do (as long as its legal out side the business too).

Drums will never be as reliable as mags but that is just part of it. They function better in semi then FA anyhow. I only really plan to use it once to celebrate and then stow it away and watch its value go up and up! :naughty:

Wow!!! I can easily go crazy just holding that. I can already imagine myself on top of a burning car holding the AK, laughing like crazy, smoking tobacco and shooting at the sky like mad. :D kidding!

cheers! that is a great deal. :D

LoL keep dreamin!

Come to KY, we are proud to have an "F" rating for gun control by the Brady Bunch!

Everything the federal law allows, KY allows!

Open Carry age 16+ rifle 18+ handgun 16+ handgun possesion
Concealed Carry 18+

21+ for:
Machine Guns
Suppressors
SBRs
AOWs
Destructive Devices (grenades, land mines,etc)

Also:

NO waiting periods
Shall-issue CDW permits
NO background checks for private sales
NO magazine restrictions
Laws on the books protecting gun owners from their employers (employees may keep gun in car on employer property)
Castle Doctorine
Pistols can be kept in a car's glove box w/o a CDW
Laws on the books that state NO county, city, or town can make their own gun laws that conflict with state law. In other words, very liberal Louisville cant decide that assualt weapons wont be allowed in the city

I'd be interested in seeing our gun crime rate per capita vs Californias.

Still want to stay in Commifornia? :naughty:

Awesome!

Let me know if you get the drum and post pics!

Today I just bought 1700 rounds of 5.45x39mm and four new EG bakelite 5.45 mags w/ pouch all for $365. Not a bad deal I suppose. The guy is local and has a BEAUTIFUL Polish Tantal AK-74 (one of my faves) I could probably get it for $550 but Ive spent over $2,000 this month already on guns and ammo!

PM me if youre interested in the tantal.

Also since the AKS-74 I bought came with only 250 rounds of ammo instead of the originally agreed upon 550, he is throwing in three new EG bakelite mags into the mix and dropping the price $50,not bad since those mags are like $30 each and 250 rounds of surplus 5.45 is worth only like $30! :naughty:

Damn dude, that's one hell of a deal! I don't think I made it in time with those drums. I did find a site that has the Bulgarian 75 round drums for $189. Might have to just go along with that.
