That is a striped raph in the tube. Those were some good guesses though.
As for the tetras, one will get picked off every few months...so he's getting them more slowly than I'd expect, but he's still getting them nonetheless. I'm going out of the country for 17 days on Monday, so chances are good they'll be gone when I return.

That one is about 5" and he is only about 6 months old. He is a fast grower and dominates the tank. I cant wait to see how big it is in another 6 months. I feed him Hikari cichlid gold,hikari bloodworms,omega one color pellets and at least one tetra jumbo cichlid stick a day. I dont think his incredible growth is all about what I feed it though. Its mainly water quality. Keep your water clean and your fish will thrive
